If you are new to Clifton Park, looking for a new church home or simply want a place to visit along your faith journey, here’s what you will find at Christ Community Reformed Church.
Services & Times
Regular service time is 10am on Sundays. The days and times for special services will be posted on this web site.
Our worship services will seem very similar to many Protestant services:
- We come together to worship usually with a reponsive reading and song
- We confess our shortcomings, ask for mercy and have a Psalter reading
- We give thanks for the grace of our Lord with prayer and an offering
- We listen to the Word of the Lord through scripture reading and sermons
- We ask for God’s help for ourselves and others
- …and we sing!
Our worship style is traditional while being upbeat and lively. We focus on the Word of God and how it applies to our lives in today’s world. The theme and elements of our services are changed up frequently to reflect on or celebrate special occasions or events.
Music & Song
We love our music and we love it to have variety. Our “playlist” of music leans toward the traditional performed in a wide range of styles from centuries-old a cappella to contemporary. Wind, string and percussion instuments frequently accompany the organ. The choirs and hand bell groups add more variety and joy to our music and singing.
Our congregation generally reflects the demographics of Clifton Park… young and older families, kids, singles, etc. Members come from all faith backgrounds and economic levels. The common denominator in our congregation is a strong sense of community and service to the world.
There is no dress code at CCRC. You will find some members wearing in suits and ties with others in shorts and sandals.
There are two entrances: the sanctuary entrance is on the right and what we call the “chapel” entrance is on the left. You will find greeters at either entrance.
