October 17th and November 21st
CCRC is pleased to announce we will support our homeless and families in need through the Socktober/Glovember collection again this year.
Every year, over 600,000 people are homeless in the US, and things have become worse due to the ongoing pandemic. Charities are very concerned about a drop in donations. During the months of October and November CCRC will be collecting donations of winter clothing including coats, socks, hats, scarves, gloves, sweatpants, sweaters, leggings, baby clothes, hand warmers, etc.
Items are needed for men, women, and children, including toddlers and infants.
All items must be new and unused!
Please place your donations in the blue collection bin in the hallway between the office and kitchen.
Donations support multiple regional entities, including St. Paul’s Center, Schenectady City Mission, Capital City Rescue Mission, Joseph’s House and Shelter, Code Blue in Saratoga, Things of My Very Own, Shelters of Saratoga and more. This charity also conducts direct handouts to the homeless on the streets in Saratoga and Albany. Thank you for helping the most vulnerable as we move into the colder months.
