Our youth are involved in a variety of service projects, trips and on-going service to our community.
Youth Mission/Mission trips. At least once a year a group of middle school and high school students, led by adults from our congregation, travel to other communities to spend a week serving. In 2019, missionaries from our church will visit St. Thomas to help with the hurricane relief efforts and Niagara Falls where our group will serve in soup kitchens, homeless shelters, senior centers and volunteer with children’s programming.
Youth Misison/Service projects – youth of all ages participate in projects throughout the year, including an annual school supply drive, Coats for Kids, and preparing and serving lunch for Habitat for Humanity volunteers. This year we plan to make prayer shawls for young children and teens and pick fresh apples to donate to a local food pantry.
Youth Mission/Little Free Pantry – In all seasons, the Little Free Pantry, built by our youth with adult guidance, provides food and provisions for members of our community. Stocking and maintaining the pantry is an ongoing mission for our youth.
