CCRC’s Outreach Committee has responsibilities working within the church and within the community. Every CCRC member has an important role in outreach to each visitor and community member we interact with to demonstrate God’s grace and love and build God’s kingdom.
In the Church
Outreach members make it a point to extend a special welcome to visitors, to get to know them and understand how CCRC might be a part of their faith journey. For those interested in joining CCRC, Outreach conducts a series of get-togethers over lunch on Outreach works to make CCRC easy to identify and known in the community as a caring and welcoming congregation. Invite-a-friend events sponsored by Outreach have included:
– AARP Safe Drivers’ Course (spring)
– Community Fundraiser: 5k run/walk/BBQ and Family Day of Wellness (spring)
– Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) pick-up location for FoxCreek Farm (20 weeks, summer/fall)
– 4th of July parade’s Lemonade on the Lawn
– Family nights at SPAC performance and Valley Cats baseball games (summer)
– Movies under the stars series (summer/autumn)
– Intergenerational Bike Ride/Race and Picnic at Saratoga State Park (autumn)
– Live Nativity
– Christmas caroling at Ellis Hospital
Outreach also manages the ongoing community publicity for church services and events as well as managing our social media presence through our Facebook page.
