Not Just for Men: Men’s Group will meet February 9th, (Thursday), 7:30 PM until about 9:00 pm, at the church.  Our speaker will be the well-known Judge Rybak, who will tell us about the justice system in our town.  This should be a subject of interest to all, so ladies as well as men are invited to this meeting.  Come and bring a friend for an evening of fellowship.  A light dessert will be available.  For further information, or if you need a ride, please contact Jerry Crawmer at 371-1797.

Samaritan Care Series –“Being the Caring Church”.   There are extra flyers in the hearth room and you may still sign-up for this series by calling the office or completing registration form.   There will only be two Wednesdays left to this series, February 8th and  15th

Daffodil Days 2012.  Information about ordering daffodils to support the American Cancer Society is posted on the Hearth Room kiosk.  You will find an order form in your mailbox and extra forms are on the kiosk.  The deadline for placing an order is Sunday, February 19th.  Flowers may be taken home after the worship service on  Sunday, March 25th.

Flower Committee: There are still Sundays available for you to donate flowers for our worship service. If you want to donate flowers please sign the list on the Kiosk.

Get the Lead Out: As you may already know, by halfway through the school year, kids have used up many of the supplies they started the year with.  Our church has always generously donated supplies to children in schools who normally are unable to purchase new supplies.  There is a great need for fine tipped markers, colored pencils, marble notebooks, loose leaf paper, two pocket colored folders in the following colors - red, green, black, blue, yellow, 1 1/2 inch ring binders, single subject notebooks, crayons, plastic pencil cases.  The drop box is located outside the kitchen. Collections go until February 8th.  Thank you.

Food Pantry Project - Mission Committee is beginning a special 2012 drive to assist our local food pantries which are still in need of our assistance. Most are seeing record numbers of people and families requesting assistance for food. Each month we will highlight a specific food group and we ask for donations from our Congregation. We will be tracking our progress through 2012 and displaying on the board in the upstairs kitchen!! In January, please bring canned goods, such as canned vegetables, meats or fruits. Keep an eye on Cross References for the monthly food group.

The 2012 Orange Farm Tuition Fundraiser will continue through Easter Sunday!  With a contribution of $25, the cost of a uniform, you can send an Orange Farm youth to school for a year! Checks (made payable to Christ Community Reformed Church)  can be placed in the box marked “Orange Farm Contributions” in the church office. Thank you for your continued support for the children of Orange Farm!

Outreach: One way to get CCRC identity in the community is to purchase a CCRC T-Shirt to wear to all of the volunteering events. $7.00 for both Children and Adult sizes (S, M, L and X-L). $8.00 for Adult size: 2X.  Please make check payable to CCRC or contact Phyllis Cheuk.
