Adult Education

Learning never stops and educational opportunities go far beyond our Sunday School. We offer a number of groups for adults who want to learn more about this church, the Bible, and their faith.

Adult Study

Adult study meets on Sundays at 11:15am following the 10:00am worship service. Different members of the group lead studies on a variety of subjects. A current book or a study of topics of interest to the church will be the focus for a number of weeks.  All are welcomed.

• Spring study topic:  March finds us discussing Congregational Care Educational Series topics: Reviewing the Health Care Proxy and Related Legal Issues; and "File of Life" with Bob Phillips of the Ambulance Corps of Clifton Park

Kerygma

Kerygma study focuses on the message of the Bible. This group began studying the old and new testaments, and are continuing with a more intensive investigation of particular sections of the Bible, specifically church liturgy, sacraments, and an examination of the Heidelburg Catechism. This group meets on Sunday mornings at 8:30am, following the 7:30am Chapel worship service.

• Study topic: Now studying The Pentateuch

Thursday Study Group

This group meets monthly on a Thursday morning at a different member's home or at church to discuss a variety of topics. Different members of the group volunteer to lead discussions on a book of interest. The Thursday group provides great opportunity to expand your appreciation of the faith beyond the weekly Sunday service.

• Study topic: March 13th at 10:00am in the Hearth Room for Lesson 2 in "Discover Acts: The Gentile Connection"

Mature & Moving

The Mature & Moving (M&Ms) group gathers on a regular but not strictly scheduled basis for a variety of activities and fellowship. They might have lunch together or attend a play, or invite a speaker. These meetings are geared to the older members of the congregation and provide a good opportunity for activities and friendship.
